Cozy Crops Wool Pellets help you to cultivate fertile, hydrated soil for healthy, productive gardens.
Our 100% Natural NZ made Wool Pellets help you improve plant growth, soil quality, and deter slugs, snails and weeds.
How to use:
- Surround your plants with a 15-20cm collar of wool pellets to keep them cozy, slowly release nutrients for stronger growth, and to keep slugs and snails at bay.
- Mix the wool pellets into the soil for a slow release fertiliser and to help maintain moisture. Use 500g of wool pellets per 10L of soil for optimal fertilisation and water retention.
- Water your pellets well so they fluff up, go back the next day and fill in any gaps.
Tip: A 3kg box is sufficient to mulch and fertilise a planted 1m x 2m veggie garden bed.

I’m on the West Coast South Island and my veg garden doesn’t get a lot of sun at this time of the year.. The cozy wool product is living up to its claims
Awesome my pansy’s are beautiful kept the snails away
Thanks Kat, great to hear :)
Great product, a little goes a long way as it fluffs up quite a bit
So good to hear!! Thanks Jo :)
Unfortunately lost almost my whole box of these around my strawberry plants to birds over. 2 days while I was away! Bird wire now installed but too late to save these!
Hi Robyn,
That's a shame! A few tips for next time: give the pellets a good water and then 20 minutes later press them down lightly with your hand - this helps them mat together quicker. We find once the pellets have matted together and dried that the bird tend to leave them alone. We have emailed you a little discount code in case you would like to restock your pellets. - Jess :)
I have only just started using the wool pellets but they are functioning as advertised. The have swollen and I have been pleased that the birds that usually toss my mulch around, seem to be leaving the pellets along.
Thank you so much for your feedback, We're thrilled to hear that the wool pellets are working well for you. If you have any questions as you continue using them or want tips on getting the most out of your pellets, feel free to reach out. Happy gardening!
