Mix then mulch. It's that simple.

Wool pellets are one of the most simple and effective additions you can make to improve your garden. The compact pellets are easy to incorporate into soil, or spread between plants to protect and nourish.

Surround your seedlings

Surround your plants with a 15-20cm collar of wool pellets to keep them cozy, slowly release nutrients for stronger growth, and to keep slugs and snails at bay. Be sure to leave some space between the stem of the plant and start of the collar of pellets to prevent soggy stems.

Mix into the soil

Mix the wool pellets into the soil for a slow release fertiliser and to help maintain moisture. Use 500g of wool pellets per 10L of soil for optimal fertilisation and water retention.

Mulch wool

Mulch

Spread the wool pellets across your whole garden bed in a single layer. Once the pellets get wet they will fluff up and form a cozy mulch layer to keep your soil warm, hydrated, weed and snail free. 1kg of wool pellets will cover about 2sqm.
